The transition from academia to industry can be challenging for new graduates. I discuss skills you can learn while still a student that will be valuable in industry. These skills include a breadth of statistical knowledge, relevant statistical intuition and reasoning, statistical software development experience, and communication skills applicable to mixed audiences.
