Abstract #323000
Title: How to Treat Site in Clinical Trials - Fixed or Random?
Author(s): Chul Ahn*
Companies: FDA
Keywords: clinical trials ; multiple sites ; fixed effect ; random effect ; stratification
Abstract:

In clinical trials involving multiple sites, should site be treated as a fixed or random effect, and how should it be included in the analysis model? It may depend on whether randomization is stratified or not. If sites are included, treating them as random effects rather than fixed effects may be preferred because of the generalizability. In this roundtable, we will discuss more details about how to treat site in clinical trials.
