Abstract:

Gene expression studies can be used to identify potential bio-markers that can differentiate between normal and disease conditions. One of the limitations of these studies is small sample sizes, which makes it difficult to draw meaningful statistical inference based on an individual study. So it is of great interest to integrate similar gene expression studies. In this work, we compare several techniques for integrating independent gene expression studies originating from different platforms and tissues, but investigating similar biological conditions.
