Abstract:
|
Using individual patient level data for meta-analysis is often considered the gold standard for synthesizing survival data from clinical trials. However, individual patient level data can be difficult to obtain. We describe a method to extract summary statistics from published studies to create pseudo individual patient time-to-event data. Data from all trials are analyzed simultaneously within a hierarchical framework of survival models. We illustrate the application of this method to facilitate a go or no-go decision at the end of a Phase 2 oncology study.
