Abstract:
|
Federal statistical agencies are mandated by law to protect the confidentiality and privacy of survey respondents. One statistical disclosure limitation (SDL) technique is clustered random data swapping. As a result of applying this SDL technique to data, a natural concern is what is the overall effect of SDL on the quality of the original data and estimates. This poster will present the effects of clustered random data swapping on the quality of original 2013 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) estimates as compared to the NHIS estimates after application of this SDL technique.
