Abstract:

Anytime one needs to analyze cross classification tables of count data, multivariate discrete distributions play a natural role of representing them. There are several multivariate distributions that arise in problem solving with different applications naturally. In this research a few of these distributions that are multivariate geometric in nature and others that are multinomial extension of the negative multinomial distribution is presented. Evaluation of the goodness-of-fit of discrete multivariate distributions is also discussed.
