Abstract #319969
Title: Lucid: An R Package for Pretty Printing Floating Point Numbers
Author(s): Kevin Wright*
Companies: DuPont Pioneer
Keywords: R ; floating-point ; tables
Abstract:

Real numbers can be efficiently stored in computer memory with the floating point format, but printed floating point numbers can be difficult for people to interpret, especially when the exponents are not all the same. The R package "lucid" is useful for formatting vectors and tables of floating-point numbers in a human-friendly format. Examples are given to illustrate the benefits with variance components from mixed models.
