Abstract:

Market segmentation studies are often high profile, expensive, and challenging, requiring deep understanding of study goals and algorithm(s) necessary for achieving those goals. Algorithms can range in complexity from standard k-means clustering of satisfaction / loyalty data for quick customer insights to sophisticated co-clustering of sparse data associated with recommender systems. At this roundtable we will discuss various approaches and software useful for implementing segmentation analyses in market research.
