Personalized medicine is to assign medical treatment based on the characteristics of each patient. It is important to discover the individualized treatment rule that can achieve optimal outcome for patients. In recent years, statistical classification methods have been playing more and more important role in this field. In this talk, we will link several classification approaches with individualized treatment rule. Our approach will be implemented using R, and will be applied to diabetes data analysis.
