Abstract:
|
In Gou and Tamhane (2014) we proposed an improved hybrid Hochberg-Hommel type step-up multiple test procedure. The procedure used a fixed, specified set of critical constants. In this note we show that an entire class of critical constants can be derived by relaxing one of the assumptions in that paper. This allows us to choose a more powerful choice of critical constants. A recursive method for computing the critical constants is presented. Since this class of critical constants is very broad, a particular subclass defined by a single parameter is explored in more detail by simulating associated powers and the best choice of the parameter is determined.
