The numbers of women in science and technology are dismal: barely 18 percent of computer science degrees go to women. Women make up 11 percent of math faculty. Statistics is different - here, women are a growing force. More than 40 percent of degrees in statistics go to women, and they make up 40 percent of the statistics department faculty poised to move into tenured positions. To retain women in the profession over the long term, we need to ensure that women are fully represented across the many leadership and scientific roles of the society. We present findings from an analysis of the American Statistical Association's membership database to identify whether women are fully represented across leadership roles, awards and editorship positions. I offer some personal comments on areas which may need improvement, and how this may be achieved. Women are an increasing share of the ASA, and considering issues of career development and advancement is an important topic for all.
