Abstract:

A crucial step in the development of medical drugs is to study which ingredients in the final formulation impact the stability of the active ingredient. This type of study is generally named an excipient compatibility study. In this talk, we discuss the logistics of this kind of study, as well as useful models and D- and I-optimal designs. We pay special attention to randomization restrictions and possible models for describing the ingredients' impact.
