Abstract:
|
About 60,000 years ago, Antarctica was teeming with life. A geology professor, on a summer expedition in the Antarctica, collected 60 seeds. The seeds were observed under a microscope and their contours were drawn carefully on a tracing paper. The contours were later transcribed into pixel data. One of the goals is to create clusters of seeds so that the seeds in each cluster are similar. We use Shape Analysis methods to achieve the objective.
