Abstract:
|
In this talk, we will describe the use of Bayesian techniques to estimate the underlying density from a ranked set sample. The ranking is assumed to be done based on a surrogate variable, possibly leading to ranking error. The proposed method will attempt to estimate the degree of ranking error as well as estimate the true density function. Illustrative examples and results of simulation studies will be provided.
