Abstract:
|
Health care tasks such as individual patient routine care and comparative effectiveness research require comprehensive clinical information from a broad data sources. Health information exchanges (HIEs) are an emerging source of such data. However, HIE data are from many independent databases with different patient ids, impeding data aggregation. We'll describe the problem, present challenges, approaches and opportunities.
