Title: Borrowing from Historical Data in Clinical Trials: Power Priors and Alternative Methods of Borrowing
Author(s): Scott M. Berry*
Companies: Berry Consultants
Keywords: Clinical Trials ; Borrowing ; Power Priors
Abstract:

The Bayesian approach is very natural for the borrowing of previous results for a clinical trail. The power prior methods have become, in theory, quite popular. Are they being used and do they work? In this talk real examples of potential borrowing will be discussed and the needs and uses for the models in how they borrow will be discussed.
