Abstract:
|
Statistical consulting has been a fundamental statistical practice from the earliest days of the discipline. ASA's Section on Statistical Consulting started as an ad hoc group (1982), then a committee (1984), then a subsection (1990) of the Section on Statistical Education. It became an independent section in 1991 and is a vital presence in the research community.
