Abstract:
|
In this poster, we present on the first year of a multi-year project to build an electronic assessment model for a broad range of undergraduate introductory statistics courses. This assessment model extends previous work in statistics education on course level student learning outcomes and assessments by developing outcomes, vocabulary, and assessments for 26 different topics from introductory statistics. Instructors and supervisors receive rapid feedback of student learning on each topic from specially developed reports incorporating the current state of data visualization research. In this poster, we will present the structure of our assessment model and provide examples of topic outcomes, vocabulary words and assessment questions. A summary of reports and findings from the first year of this project are included.
