Abstract:
|
When monitoring multivariate process variability, a scatter ratio of two generalized variances has been used as a control chart statistic in a Phase II operation. In this article, we develop a procedure for monitoring process variability in a Phase I operation. Decomposition of the scatter ratio will be studied and used to determine variables that contribute to a change in multivariate process variability in Phase I.
