Abstract:

The field of business analytics is variously described as a composite of statistics, operations research, information systems, and computer science. The emphasis given to each component varies across program, depending upon the resources available at a particular institution. Nevertheless, content discussions can help mold and define future developments. Participants should be ready to outline their own (planned) programs so common themes can be identified and future directions explored.
