Abstract:
|
The goal of the GigaBEATS Project is to boost the value of captured physiological waveform data beyond the immediacy of clinical care for a single patient. We are retrospectively knowledge mining the MIMIC II archive comprising thousand's of patients' arterial blood pressure (ABP) waveforms to derive general, ultimately practical, clinical knowledge about blood pressure. Projects within the effort employ machine learning, distributed evolutionary intelligence and big data approaches to recognize patterns among multiple patients' ABP time series and forecast trends in a single patient's APB.
