Abstract:
|
Researchers are often interested in real time calibration of measurement instruments. These instruments often vary in their accuracy through time. We propose a Dynamic Calibration Method using the Dynamic Linear Model framework. We consider both the univariate and multivariate calibration case. This framework is applied to calibrating radiometers on satellites measuring quantities about the Earth such as ocean salinity. This work also compares the method to existing real time methods and off-line methods via a simulation study.
