Abstract:
|
The unit and treatment structures of many multi-stratum experiments can be visualized by Hasse diagrams. For the wide class of orthogonal designs this representation immediately implies how the analysis should be performed. A new piece of software which is based on this framework is presented, which for any orthogonal design can derive the correct analysis from the data in a spreadsheet without requiring the user to specify a model formula. The use of the package and in particular the estimation of variance components for the different strata in experiments with restricted randomization is illustrated with several examples.
