Abstract:
|
Big Data pose challenges for interactive data visualization which are addressed in most recent visualization systems by leveraging accelerated graphics and employing advanced processing algorithms. However, this was not readily available in settings that allow collaboration, web-based sharing and cloud computing. In this presentation we present a design that bridges the gap and leverages cutting-edge web technologies such as WebGL and WebSockets to provide high-perforformance interactive graphics in a collaborative web-based environment. It also ties into distributed computing and storage to enable direct path from big data to analysis and visualization. We present RCloud, an implementation of this design using R as the analytic language on practical examples.
