Abstract:
|
The Cox proportional hazard model (1972), because of its versatility remains the most popular model for analyzing survival data. The proportional hazard assumption required by this model is vital in making valid inferences and predictions. Departures from the proportional hazard assumption include: increasing, hazards, crossing, diverging and nonmonotonic hazards. The purpose of this roundtable is to discuss the power of five test statistics to check the proportional hazard assumption.
