Abstract:

We consider a proteomic mass spectrometry case-control study measuring the proteomic expression of patients and healthy controls. For each patient or control, a pair of two distinct mass spectra is measured, each of which derives from a distinct prior fractionation of the available serum. We use a double cross-validatory procedure for the calibration of a combination predictor on the two distinct spectral sources.
