Abstract:
|
Rigorous statistical approaches to assessing the accuracy of thematic maps have become increasingly popular in the field of remote sensing. This talk will present an accuracy assessment of a land cover map of the Lake Superior and Lake Michigan drainage basins as a case study. Issues related to sampling design and estimation procedures will be discussed.
