Abstract:
|
Statistics education is an essential component of nursing education. This is a result of the focus in the nursing field on the use of evidence-based nursing practice. Each undergraduate and graduate nursing program requires successful completion of one or more statistics courses. The nursing researcher often makes use of particular statistical methods, including a frequent focus on the use of psychometrics. In this roundtable discussion we will discuss the statistician's role in educating and consulting with nurse researchers.
