Abstract:

This session will give an overview of different summer programs to encourage undergraduate students to enter the statistics profession such as the Summer Institutes in Biostatistics, the Rice University Summer Institute of Statistics, and the Summer Undergraduate Mathematical Sciences Research Institute. Also there will be comments on recruiting from the Graduate Coordinator of one of the largest departments of statistics in the country.
