Abstract:
|
We explore the problem of statistical inference and model selection for high dimensional gene network models. We examine different appraoches to qunatifying gene-gene interactions in modern day genomic studies and how they can can be modeled in terms of conditional independencies, marginal independencies and other types of interactions. We propose different statistical models in this regard and develop inferential procedures that are suitable for high dimensional settings. The methodlogy is illusrated on both simulated and real data.
