Abstract:
|
We will discuss strategies for fitting mixed models in a distributed computing environment. Depending on the formulation of the models and the number of models, subjects, and observations, different data distribution and parallel analysis patterns can be exploited to fit them and perform statistical inference in a small fraction of the time required by conventional, serialized approaches. Application domains include genomics, educational assessment, and financial services.
