Applied Data Mining — Continuing Education Course

This course will cover the basics of applied data mining. A case study will be used to illustrate the following ideas: Data Partition, Imputation, Modeling, Model Comparisons, and Scoring. The modeling part will cover decision trees, regression, logistic regression, neural networks, and partial least squares. The final part of the course will address reporting of the results. Knowledge of multiple linear regression is a prerequisite.
