Abstract:

In comparing treatments of interest with a standard of care, Dunnett test has been commonly used.

Peddada et al (2001 and 2006) proposed a test statistic of testing homogeneity against a simple tree order in mean responses.

Although Peddada et al. investigated properties of their test statistic in a moderately large sample setting, the behavior of test statistics in a small sample and more particularly, in terms of exact inference, has not been investigated. In this presentation, we compare small sample properties of Dunnett test, Peddada et al test, and our union-intersection of all the tests for simple tree order, in Berger and Boos (1994) confidence interval based exact inference.
