Abstract:
|
New Zealand is introducing a new curriculum in primary and secondary education that places statistics on a much more equal footing with mathematics. I'll describe how this situation came to be and some of the challenges we face in building on this opportunity: how do you decide what materials are appropriate at each grade level, how do you teach the teachers, etc.
