Abstract:
|
Students will often find interest in the origins of the statistical methods they are learning, especially once they realize most are 20th century inventions. If you are considering the inclusion of history in your classes, or have experiences to share, please join for coffee and discussion. Topics may include which historic events to cover, how to find the class time to cover the extra material, and how to assess your students' learning. I am a statistics professor with experience teaching statistics (and a bit of history) at all levels.
