Abstract:
|
Often times in data analysis, the response variable of interest is multidimensional and correlated. Furthermore, this response might be comprised of variables that are a mixture of different scales (categorical and numerical). The interest typically lies in modeling the covariate effect on the joint expected response while taking into account this correlation. In many environmental and agricultural applications there exists additionally a spatial association between observations. In this work we extend the multivariate probit model to estimate regression coefficients of multiple predictors on multiple responses of different scales, while accounting for both the spatial and inter-response correlation.
