Abstract:
|
This talk will consider an empirical likelihood formulation for irregularly spaced spatial data, where the data are generated by a stationary random field observed at sites described by a stochastic sampling design. The method allows inference on spatial parameters described by general estimating equations. Under a large class of spatial dependence structures, log-likelihood ratios are shown to have chi-square limits for calibrating tests and confidence regions and maximum empirical likelihood estimators permit parameter estimation and testing of spatial moment conditions.
