Abstract:
|
Trellis graphics have been a polular visualization method to study multi-panel conditioning plots. For example, in high-dimensional data, graphics can be constructed by conditioning on the levels of a set of variables. To integrate graphics and data analysis, it is common that there involves computations from fitting a model and estimating parameters. An extension of Trellis plots is conditioning on parameters, where recalculations are involved. This scheme is incorporated in a foundation for dynamic graphics, which is a statistical graphical library with static and dynamic graphical elements. In particular, multiple dynamically linked graphics and animation are available. Such graphics can be played with Flash as a movie, and they can also be included in a PDF file for presentation. Some examples are presented.
