Abstract:
|
Disagree-agree responses to attitude measurement (e.g., job satisfaction) generally follow some type of the ideal point process, instead of the dominance process, and researchers argue that unfolding models are more appropriate to analyze disagree-agree responses collected via Likert type scale. Generalized Graded Unfolding Models (GGUM) is a unidimensional parametric Item Response Theory based model and more appropriate to analyze disagree-agree responses to attitude measurement. In this study, the disagree-agree responses towards job satisfaction collected by Teacher Follow-up Survey were analyzed using GGUM. Results in the dimensionality and fit analysis using GGUM were presented and compared to the analyses results using classical Likert approach.
