Teenage drivers are high risk driving population for both lack of driving skills and excessive risky behaviors. To evaluate the risk factors associated with teenage drivers, a naturalistic driving study was conducted. Forty teenagers participated in the study. The cars of the participants were instrumented with advanced data collection system including GPS, kinematic sensors, and four video cameras. The driving process of the teen drivers were continuously monitored for 18 months. This paper will focus on identifying high risk factor associated with teenage drivers and assessing improvement in their driving skills.
