Abstract:

Longitudinal data, collected in factorial experiments, arise in various fields of study, e.g. medicine, biology, public policy, and sociology. Robust nonparametric methods which impose only minor assumptions on longitudinal observations enable us to accurately and reliably capture the group and time effects in such factorial experiments and hence, are of particular practical importance. In this talk, we introduce a new R package "nparLD" which provides statisticians and researchers from other disciplines with an easy and user-friendly access to the most up-to-date statistical methodology on analysis of longitudinal data in factorial experiments with robust nonparametric techniques. We illustrate the implemented procedures by case studies from biostatistics, medicine, and social sciences.
