Abstract:
|
We analyze the inferential value of data fusion in the context of determining changes or anomalies in edge-attributed networks. Given a network with attributes assigned to the edges (e.g. colors representing the subject matter of a communication between a pair of actors in the network), we analyze the asymptotic distributions of several graph invariants which incorporate a weighted mixture (or fusion) of the attributes. Our aim is to compare the statistical powers of our invariants over a variety of mixtures in order to determine an optimal choice of invariant (and fusion) in the context of change-point detection.
