Abstract:
|
A game of table tennis is analyzed using elementary concepts of probability. The analysis demonstrates different modeling approaches and makes a comparison between the results under the new and the old rules of the game. It also illustrates steps involved in modeling a game and points out the possible expansion of it. Some hints regarding the use of materials for teaching is also included.
