Abstract:
|
It is often said that many great advances in science occur at the boundary between disciplines. In order to anticipate potential advances, one would like to identify individuals who are working at these boundaries. In particular, we would like to identify boundaries with increased activity. We discuss a mathematical framework in which to investigate these questions and provide examples on a collection of co-authorship networks.
