Abstract:
|
In a medical device trial of Drug Eluting Stents (DES), there are multiple experimental units within each patient for a certain portion of the study population. This can pose challenge to the conventional statistical methods in the sample size estimate. An idea of sample size calculation by interpolating multiple methods is proposed. Simulation examples will be presented to demonstrate the validity of this new computational method.
