Abstract:
|
Monitoring of data within clinical trials is essential. Trials are designed with the expectation that the data collected is not in error. As companies financially tighten their belts, decisions may be made to monitor (source verify) only a portion of the data that is collected. Through simulation, we will explore the impact of monitoring only a percentage of the data on the power for an endpoint. This exploration is intended to inform decision makers within a company about the repercussion for such decisions.
