Abstract:

Case-control genetic association studies have been shown to be effective in identifying disease-related genes in many complex diseases. One major challenge in testing genetic association is due to the gentic model uncertainty. In this article, we first consider several different criteria for the comparison of some existing approaches and then a new method is proposed and shown to exhibit good properties. Finally, simulation studies as well as real data applications are used to illustrate the proposed methodology.

This is joint work with Gang Zheng from National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and Ao Yuan from Howard University.
