Abstract:

We model the typical behavior of the one and eight hour concentration of tropospheric ozone and carbon monoxide throughout one day. Data come from the Cali (Colombia) air quality monitoring network, in the 2003 to 2006 span. The most non-urban station shows the higher ozone contamination levels, even exceeding the Colombian codes, while the downtown station shows the carbon monoxide higher levels, very close to the maximum allowed. We also present some insights of the variance estimation problem in the case of several measurements at each design point.
