Abstract:
|
The topic of Multiple Comparison Procedures (MCPs) is nowadays receiving growing theoretical and applicative attention in both industrial and scientific problems. The issue arises when we consider a response variable of interest and we wish to compare more than two treatments in order to find out possible significant differences between them. In this paper we propose a comparative simulation study on the power performance of some FWE controlling MCPs in order to provide a practical contribution to the choice of different techniques in different possible data scenarios. For this purpose a new, more informative definition of power for MCPs is proposed and used in the comparative simulation study.
