Abstract:
|
Logistic regression typically assumes that at low levels of a (continuous) predictor X, the probability of response is near 0, and for high levels of X the probability of response is near 1. But for various reasons one or both of these assumptions might not be true. This talk will discuss models that make neither of these assumptions, illustrate their use (and problems with their use). Both fixed and random-effects models will be examined. I will also discuss the equivalence of this model with two other seemingly-unrelated models.
